La revisión propuesta de la Directiva relativa a la eficiencia energética de los edificios tiene por objeto reducir al máximo las emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero y el consumo de energía en el sector de la construcción de la UE de aquí a 2030, y hacerlo climáticamente neutro a partir de 2050. También busca renovar los edificios menos eficientes y mejorar el intercambio de información sobre el rendimiento energético.

También busca renovar los edificios menos eficientes y mejorar el intercambio de información sobre el rendimiento energético.

Durante esta legislatura, la Eurocámara ha aprobado la directiva sobre igualdad en consejos de administración tras diez años de negociaciones y medidas contra la brecha salarial. El Parlamento Europeo y el Consejo llegaron a un acuerdo sobre las primeras normas de la UE de lucha contra la violencia y la directiva de trata. La Oficina del Parlamento Europeo en España promueve la paridad en los paneles a través de la iniciativa #DóndeEstánEllas. La participación de mujeres en eventos públicos alcanzó el 54% en 2023.

La Comisión Europea ha publicado hoy una Comunicación sobre la gestión de los riesgos climáticos en Europa. La Comunicación indica cómo la UE y sus Estados miembros pueden prever, comprender y abordar mejor los crecientes riesgos climáticos. Además, explica cómo pueden preparar y aplicar estrategias que salven vidas, reduzcan los costes y protejan la prosperidad en toda la UE.
